Tessa Cole -psychotherapist
I am an accredited BACP psychotherapist working with adults in Reigate and online. My practice is integrative and trauma-informed, and I support people experiencing many challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and the impact of past or traumatic experiences.
My training includes a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and an MSc in Behavioural Science. I have also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Trauma Counselling and am a qualified EMDR practitioner.
Over time, I have developed a particular interest in how earlier experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us. This includes the ways in which the body and nervous system can hold on to stress or trauma, sometimes long after an event has passed.
In my work, I aim to offer a calm and collaborative space where we can begin to make sense of what you are experiencing. Therapy is not about applying a fixed method, but about responding to you as an individual and working at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Alongside private practice, I also work as a weekly volunteer counsellor within a cancer support service, as well as a counselling skills trainer for a local domestic abuse charity.
I am a fully accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their Ethical Framework.
